George has more than 31 years of experience in providing investment consulting services to both institutions and high-net-worth individuals and families.
Passionate about investments, George has been called upon to be a member of the Institutional Research Committee for the Merrill Lynch Advisory Council to Management and has also served as a chair of firm-wide research committees of previous firms he worked for in the past 18 years. Applying that experience, George leads the team's efforts in coordinating the resources needed to identify investment managers and set asset allocations as he works to serve the needs of institutional clients.
George has received many industry accolades. Barron's named George to its 2014 list of Top 1,200 Financial Advisors. He also appeared on Barron's 2013 list of Top 1,000 Financial Advisors.
George is a founder and past president of the Association of Professional Investment Consultants (APIC) and a founder and former president of the Investment Management Consultants AssociationSM (IMCA®). George is a frequent speaker at regional and national investment conferences and symposia on topics that impact nonprofit organizations, including alternative investments.
George is on the board of reference of The House, a faith-based organization that provides support to students in southeast Washington, D.C. Additionally, he has served as chairman of the investment committee of the Washington Episcopal School.
George earned his bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation. George also holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7, 63 and 65 registrations. As passionate as George is about investments, he is equally passionate about golf and tennis, his wife and three children, and uncovering great wine values.
